Erupting through the streets of Tasmania/lutruwita comes Spooky Eyes, punishing ears with their eclectic brand of amplified psychedelic blues.
Kicking off in 2022 with the release of “Leaves“, what started as a solo project by frontman Jude Hastings quickly evolved into a full-blown live show – joined by childhood friend Jaxon Bassett on drums, co-conspirator Piper Rayner on bass guitar. They swapped jangly chords and synths for speaker cranking riffs and a thumping rhythm section. Their self-titled debut record captures the band’s live energy and sound, channeling riff focused acid rock, psychedelia, proto-metal grit and loose, jam-driven energy pulled straight from the late ’60s underground.
