Kraut Rock from Germany

einseinseins

Einseinseins, a three-piece from Berlin, fuses Krautrock, Post-Punk, Wave and 80’s Pop to create something weirdly new but yet familiar. Their music pushes boundaries and is not easy to pin down to a genre.

The self-released debut album is more reminiscent of bands like Can or Hawkwind but played by some Punks who are really into video games. Among connoisseurs the debut was highly sought-after and their energetic live shows much appraised. Soon an invitation to the prestigious Krach am Bach festival followed where Einseinseis established themselves among peers as a unique force. That is where they first came to the attention of Tonzonen Records who immediately signed Einseinseins to their roster.

Soon thereafter their second album Zwei followed. It combines their love for Kraftwerk, Post-Punk and 80’s Pop music. The album awakens an obsessive desire of the one, the two. They are never too shy to use big melodies thrown energetically into the world. The album moves outside the concept of genres. No two pieces are alike and yet everything is one. “Graf Zahl” introduces the journey. A feeling of departure arises. “Plastic Love” brings “The Model” into the 21st century. “Gasetagenheizung” and “Regit Etarak” are tracks that challenge. Passive listening becomes impossible. “Nachtigall” and “Nur Fuchs” release tension and catch the listener like sirens. Zwei was highly praised and loved by its listeners.
